As a doctor and a patient, namely of alternative medicine, there are a few things to consider when looking at your healthcare options in Mesa, Arizona.
What are my healthcare options in Mesa?
Great question! Your healthcare options include alternative medicine, which can be anything that utilizes both eastern and western practices. This includes: chiropractic, acupuncture and acupressure, cupping, myofascial release techniques, naturopathic medicine, the list goes on.
Allopathic medicine is any Western methods and conventional medicine. This includes: pharmaceuticals, surgery, physical therapy, dry needling, injections, etc.
What healthcare options work best?
Healthcare options always depends on you as a patient, as well as the practitioner. The approach you take should be well explained by the practitioner and well understood by the patient. This way there are no misunderstandings about the specific healthcare option or treatment method.
A given approach needs to be fitting for the patient at that given time. While Advil can stop one headache, it won’t stop chronic headaches, this means the primary cause(s) have not been treated.
Under my care, one approach to the root cause(s) could include chiropractic adjustments. Others may include massage therapy and breathing exercises. Giving the body a proper environment in which to heal is essential in long-term reduction of pain and symptoms.
These modes of care are not pain pills, so while there is less relief than taking Advil in the moment, the effects of care last longer and longer. It takes time for the body to recover from years of chronic issues, a little bit like a cut or abrasion. It won’t heal overnight.
And while chiropractic adjustments work for many individuals, it may or may not be the right fit for you. That is why I offer a variety of treatment modalities. When it comes to healthcare options, one size NEVER fits all.
